My Philosophy

When compared with other wedding and special event disc jockeys and emcees, I provide unparalleled, first class, customized service. This is evident in my post reception surveys. I take the responsibility I am entrusted with VERY seriously and it shows.

Experienced:
I have been a professional wedding disc jockey since 1989. I began my career in radio and found that I truly enjoyed the mobile side of the business so I made weddings and other special events my career focus. From my previous radio work in Colorado Springs, I was named “Colorado Major Market Evening Disc Jockey of the Year, 2000, 2001, 2005, and nominated 2002. With my background in radio, I have the skills needed to deliver announcements at events that are clear and direct.

Personalized:
I take the time to get to know my clients through personal meetings (usually 2-3 before each event). I will meet with you at your home or location of your choice, at a time that is convenient for you or conduct the planning via phone or e-mail, based on your request.

A large part of my service is the assistance with the planning and the coordination of weddings and receptions. I am not “the wedding planner”, but I know entertainment events from an entertainer's perspective. My goal is for you to relax and enjoy your day. I ensure this is possible by spending as much time as is necessary with you to find out what is important to you on your special day. I use a four page wedding planner that I have personally developed over the years to ensure that all the right questions are asked prior to the event and to ensure that every detail, in my control, is executed exactly as you wish.

I am a single unit operator. When you book my service, you get me. It is spelled out in the contract. I am not a professional salesman, selling you on an event then sending someone else out to DJ that event. I am your disc jockey. Over the years, my clients have let me know that they find that comforting.

Professional:
I have put to paper my company standards. This ensures that I am accountable for my behavior. I do not drink alcohol at my client’s events and I maintain the highest level of professionalism at all times.

Music:
I have an extensive knowledge of music and the experience to know what to play and when (in accordance with your wishes) to keep the party moving, whether it is on the dance floor, or during a special portion of the evening, like the cutting of the cake. I play requests at your direction. I play the types of music that you ask to hear. This is established, in detail, during our planning meetings. What you do not want me to play is equally as important as your specific requests.

Attire:
I wear a full tuxedo unless otherwise specified by you. I represent you. You hired me. I do not want you to look foolish in front of your loved ones.

Fees:
With my service, there are no hidden charges. You do not pay for travel time, set up or tear down time, or an overnight stay at a hotel room....only performance time.

What’s included:
I include a wireless microphone for toasts and speeches. I always bring a full back-up set of equipment. Many times I will have one set up for the ceremony and one set up inside for the reception so we can move seamlessly from the ceremony, to cocktails, to dinner with no breaks in the music.

Passion:
I love my job. I love talking about and being a part of a couple’s very special day. I have excellent references. My past clients are “raving fans”; they are very pleased with the service I provided them. Upon completion of an event, I have never been asked for a refund in whole or in part. Every party has been a success.

I hope this information helps you to further acquaint you with me and my philosophies on my business.

Congratulations on your engagement!

Thank you for your consideration.
